About CommuniHacks
Competition Structure
CommuniHacks is a 24-hour hackathon with tiered prizes that reward outstanding projects. Awards are given to top overall teams as well as teams that deliver exceptional solutions to partner nonprofit challenges, giving participants multiple opportunities to win.
Overall Winners
High-level prizes are awarded to the most impactful and well-built projects at CommuniHacks. Teams in this track work on real problems provided by local organizations and are judged across all submissions for overall quality, impact, and execution.
Partner Subthemes
Local nonprofits provide specific problem statements based on challenges within their communities. After teams are formed, each team selects one partner problem to work on. Each problem may only be chosen by one team. Projects are evaluated by the organization that provided the problem, and partner-specific winners are selected for each subtheme.
